SIGNAL JAMMER SELECTION

How to select a signal jammer: Frequency band, on-site signal strength, and coverage boundaries

An executable selection list for signal jammer is established based on four dimensions: national frequency band, on-site survey, equipment structure, and management method.

How to select a signal jammer: Frequency band, on-site signal strength, and coverage boundaries
Usage Notice: This product must not be used for any illegal purposes. It is intended for use only by legally authorized organizations, locations, and projects. Before purchasing, deploying, and using this product, please ensure it complies with the communications, spectrum, privacy, and public safety requirements of your country or region.

Choosing the signal jammer shouldn’t be based solely on comparing “power” and “nominal distance.” What truly determines the project outcome are the target country’s frequency band, on-site signal strength, building structure, authorized coverage boundaries, and the required equipment management.

Step 1: First, confirm the target country and carrier frequency band.

Different countries and operators use slightly different 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G, and Wi-Fi frequency bands. The Chinese version of the fixed frequency band list cannot be directly copied to Vietnam, Thailand, Russia, Mexico, or other markets. When requesting a quote, you should provide the country, city, major operators, and the type of communication to be managed, and then confirm each frequency band accordingly.

  • Target country, city, and project location;
  • Major local mobile operators;
  • The types of data that need to be managed include mobile phone calls, mobile data, and 2.4G/5G Wi-Fi.
  • Whether it is necessary to preserve normal communication in certain frequency bands or specific areas.

Step 2: Measure the on-site signal, instead of applying a fixed distance.

The effective range of the same signal jammer unit will differ significantly in environments with strong base station signals and weak signal signals. Before formal selection, the signal conditions of the main frequency bands should be recorded in the center of the room, near doors and windows, corridors, and authorized boundaries. The location and quantity of the equipment should be determined in conjunction with the walls, doors and windows, floors, and adjacent areas.

The distances in the product documentation can only be used as reference values under specific test conditions and cannot replace on-site surveys and boundary acceptance.

Step 3: Select the structure based on space and management methods

need Common choices Key points to confirm
Single ordinary room Models with built-in omnidirectional or external antennas Room size, signal strength, installation location
Direction control is required Built-in directional model Antenna orientation, door/window and boundary direction
Adjustment required for each path 12-channel adjustable model Results of each frequency band and field tests
Multiple rooms, multiple devices TCP/IP Network Management Model Network, Groups, Scheduled Functions, Permissions, and Logs

Step 4: Clarify control methods and operation and maintenance requirements

For temporary projects, independent switches or remote timer control should be the primary considerations; for long-term, multi-area projects, network management functions such as online status monitoring, temperature monitoring, alarms, batch switching, grouping, scheduled tasks, and logging should be evaluated. The control method should be specified in the requirements before providing a quote to avoid changing the system architecture after the equipment arrives on-site.

signal jammer Inquiry List

  1. Information regarding national, city, operator, and project authorizations;
  2. Room dimensions, ceiling height, and the orientation of walls, doors, and windows;
  3. On-site signal strength or test screenshots for each major frequency band;
  4. Authorized coverage areas and boundaries where normal communication must be maintained;
  5. Equipment quantity, installation method, control method, power supply, plug, language, and packaging requirements.

The more complete the information, the more reliable the determination of the model, frequency band, and quantity, and the easier it is to control the impact on communications outside the authorized area.
